Complete our survey on blasting at Mountsorrel Quarry

We carry out controlled blasting at Mountsorrel Quarry to extract granite. Each blast is carefully designed and monitored to ensure it is safe and operates within limits agreed with Leicestershire County Council.

We are currently asking residents and those working locally to share their experience of quarry blasting by completing a short survey.

We recognise that blasting can sometimes be noticeable to those nearby, and your feedback will help us better understand local experiences and continue to review how blasts are managed.

Take part in the survey

If you live or work near the quarry, we would like to hear from you. You can complete the survey by clicking on the link here.

Your responses will be compared with on-site monitoring data and used to help improve how blasting is managed.

The data will also be shared with BlastWAVE, a nationwide research project investigating the effects of quarry blasting. The project is led by Group Engineering Applied Research Services (GEARS), with the University of Liverpool acting as an independent peer reviewer.
