Our Blasting Survey is Now Closed
Our survey on blasting at Mountsorrel Quarry closed on 31 May 2026. We received over 250 responses from residents and those working locally. Thank you to everyone who took part.
The survey results will now be reviewed by GEARS, an independent specialist company that researches blasting. This feedback will help us better understand how people experience our blasting, informing of our ongoing review on how blasting is managed at the quarry.
GEARS will also use this data as part of the BlastWAVE research project, a nationwide study investigating the effects of quarry blasting, independently peer reviewed by the University of Liverpool.
