Mountsorrel Quarry donates PPE to local hospital

An employee at Tarmac’s Mountsorrel Quarry has answered a personal plea from his NHS frontline wife by donating personal protective equipment (PPE) to the local hospital where she works as a deputy sister.

Ecology and biodiversity

We have previously described the scope of the environmental monitoring programme carried out in and around the site. In this article, Shane Tompkin, who has worked on the site for the last nine years as quarry development and operations manager, gives us just a taste of some of the astonishing ecology and biodiversity to be found on the site.

Bond Lane bridge repairs update – March 2020

As many of you will know, we have been working on the repairs to Bond Lane bridge since Summer 2019. Unfortunately, it has hardly stopped raining since we started, leading to significant delays in the project as our contractors moved off-site to alternative, drier contracts.
